There are many digital cameras available in the market nowdays. It’s nice to have a good little one that you can get at affordable price. Although digicam market is dominated by a few brands, but alternative brands do exist. Vivitar digital camera for example, this brand is relatively cheap when compared to similar products out there.

The A100F is the latest compact High-Definition (HD) Camera from Toshiba which comes equipped with a shock mounted 1.8″ HDD with 100GB storage capacity. Claimed to be the world’s smallest “Full HD” camcorder, it boasts a 2 mega-pixel 1/3-inch CMOS Sensor and can record video in 1920×1080 (support for Mpeg-4 AVC/H.264 video format). Unfortunately, there is no actual word on availability so far, but “the price will be around 1,600 Euro for the most expensive model”. Electronics giant Sanyo has just unveiled the Xacti DMX-HD700 HD digital movie camera. It comes with similar body design as the Waterproof CA65 Xacti version (or E1 for U.S market), but it only has 720p HD movie recording functionality, rather than 1080p. Sanyo bundles the HD700 with SD/SDHC memory card to store the photos taken with 7MP camera as well as videos. It is compatible with MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video format. Read the rest

Sony rolls out a couple new CyberShots, named the DSC-T200 and DSC-T70. Both digital cameras come with the SuperHAD CCD, 8.1MPx sensor, 31MB memory, ISO 3200 and face detection system. The difference between the two, that is the DSC-T200 supports 5x optical zoom, while the T70 offers 3x optical zoom.
