Giant Samsung has just unveiled its new LCD TV (1080p) which measures just 1cm thick. According to the company the 40-inch display has a bezel that’s just 1.5cm, down from the 3cm typical of today’s similarly sized LCD TVs. Sony rolls out a couple new versions of its VAIO TP1 media center PC, codenamed the VAIO TP1V and TP1DTV. During the IFA events, Samsung showcased its first ever dual format optical high-def player, dubbed as the ‘BD-UP5000 Duo HD Player’. This new player has the capability to play Blu-ray as good as HD DVD at 1080p (between 24 and 60 frame-per-second). Even though LG Electronic was the first with the BH100, but Samsung has got something more to offer, since it is capable of being used with both Hdi and BD Java.
