Energizer to debut Energi To Go Portable Power for iPod

Energizer has come up with its new portable power solution for the new line-up of iPod audio players. Recent report suggest that the Energi To Go (that’s what the company call it) is capable to extend the music playback time by max 46 hours on the iPod nano or and up to 32 hours when playing video on the iPod, according to the recent test done by Energizer team.

The charger uses Energizer e2 Lithium AA batteries (included in the package) for a compact, cord-free design and comes with a control chip designed to maximize the power transfer to the Apple iPod. Meanwhile a flip design enables the user to use it as a stand while charging and fold it later for storing.

The pack also includes a licensed Apple iPod tip and compatible with iPod mini, iPod nano, and 4th-and 5th-gen iPods. It will be available by this fall with the price is set at around $30.

160GB iPod Classic to Hit Korean Market

Apple’s sixth generation â€˜iPod classicâ€™ is finally available in Korea market. In case you didn’t know yet, it comes in all-metal shell finish with cover flow interface and offers up to 160GB storage capacity. The 80GB unit boasts a battery life of 30-hours for audio playback and 6-hours of video playback, while the 160GB model supports up to 40-hours for playing audio and 7-hours of video.

The iPod classic also supports playback of most codecs, including MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC and H.264 and features 2.5-inch LED backlit LCD display. Available in black and silver colors, the units is being sold at 275,000 Won for 80GB and 375,000 Won for the 160GB model.

Apple intros “iPod Touch” with WiFi Support

Yesterday Steve Jobs has introduced the highly anticipated touch-sensitive iPod after months of rumors has been circulating. Dubbed as iPod Touch, it has the same look with Apple iPhone from the outside with a large, 3.5-inch widescreen and a customary ‘home’ button at the bottom. As for the screen itself, it is able to display images just like the iPhone and adopts the company’s “pinch-to-zoom” technique. It also supports the customary slide for unlocking the device. Steve Jobs said:

It features our revolutionary multi-touch interface that you’ve come to know and love on the iPhone. If you’ve used an iPhone you’ll feel at home, it’s exactly the same.

The new apps specific to iPod Touch and the iPhone was also been unveiled, the iTunes WiFi music store which enables users to preview and download songs through WiFi. Furthermore, it utilizes Safari Web browser and supports YouTube. Other features, include CoverFlow technology, 802.11 b/g support and a WiFi meter (for monitoring signal strength).

The upcoming iPod Touch offers 22 hours of playing music or 5 hours of playing video and will be available in 8GB and 16GB models (priced at $300 and $400 respectively). Both models are expected to launch “in just a few weeks”, probably before the end of September.

New iPod Nano (3rd-Gen) With Video Launched

Apple yesterday has officially launched its 3rd-gen of iPod nano. The new version completely eliminates the use of plastic end caps, instead it is built from an anodized aluminum and has a larger, 2-inch display with 320-by-240 screen resolution. Even nicer, it is thinner than previous model at 0.25-inch. It supports video playback and reportedly offers the same high-quality games as the fifth-generation iPod, including Sudoku and Vortex as well as one other game.

The new iPod nano also supports 24 hours of playing music and 5 hours of playing video. It comes in various colors: black, silver, blue and green alongside a new Product RED model. Available now in 4GB and 8GB with the price tag of $149 and $249 respectively.

Logic3 unveils the First Speaker Dock for iPhone

Logic3 took the wraps off of ‘i-Station Traveller’, the first dedicated portable iPhone speaker dock. It comes in a black gloss finish and features 35mm neodymium drivers which can generate an ouput of four-watts. By adopting specific technology, the TDMA noise or the sound emitted from mobile phones can be reduced.

The ‘i-Station Traveller’ for iPhone can expand to accommodate the iPhone either horizontally or vertically between the twin speakers. As a travel friendly device, the speakers can be slided shut with measures 170mm for easy transport. Users can also use the speakers dock for iPods or any other gadget. Other features, include a 3.5mm jack, a 3.5- to 2.5mm stereo converter, a velvet-finish case. The i-Station Traveller requires 4 AAA batteries and will be launched soon with the price tag of Â£30.
