T-Mobile unveils Sidekick LX and Sidekick Slide Cell Phones

T-Mobile updates its Sidekick mobile phone with two new models. The first model, known as the Sidekick LX is a high-end model which is equipped with a screen that has more than twice the resolution of the Sidekick 3 (the previous ‘high-end’ model). the LX is slimmer when compared to the previous model and is reportedly to be the the company’s first ever to enables text messages with attached images. It boasts a 1.3 mega pixels camera and a microSD card slot (128MB memory card included). The Sidekick LX will be available from 17th October for $300 with a two-year contract.
The second model, dubbed the Sidekick Slide is created by Motorola Inc and as its name suggest it comes with a screen that slides up to unveil the keypad, instead of swiveling. It comes in smaller design with a 1.3 mega pixel camera as well as microSD card slot. This unit focuses more on messaging, but lacking a music player. The Sidekick Slide will be released beginning 7th November with the price tag of $200 with a two-year contract. (More pics after the jump)
