Lenovo ThinkCentre M57 Compact Desktop PC

Following the launch of the ThinkVision L220x LCD monitor, Lenovo’s ThinkCentre M57 desktop is also available now for purchase through the company’s website. Just because the desktop comes in small and ultra-small form factor cases ( take up 75% less space when compared to traditional desktop chassis), it doesn’t mean the system can not manage high-demand tasks. It features full desktop Intel Core 2 CPUs. The M57p (higher-end model) can use up to a 3GHz Core 2 Duo, while the M57 (standard version) scales up to Core 2 Quad models.
Moreover, The M57p utilizes vPro technology from Intel, allowing IT managers remotely troubleshoot the computer even when initially turned off. These PCs is built with increased performance as well as lower power consumption and are reportedly better for the environment than the previous M55 desktop. Both ThinkCentre M57 and M57p models meet the Energy Star 4.0 compliance, less noise and consume less power, running at a 9% cooler temperature than before.
Suggested price for the ThinkCentre M57 is not available yet at Lenovo site, but the M57p is ‘reportedly’ retails at $1,011 which includes a Core 2 Duo processor running at 2.33GHz , 1GB of RAM, 80GB HDD and an empty optical drive bay. As for the faster 3GHz CPU, the company scales the system up to 8GB RAM and a 500GB HDD as well as a DVD burner.
