Samsung Electronic has just introduced its 3rd-generation Blu-ray disc players, include the BD-P1400 and higher-end version, the BD-P2400. The first version come equipped with Samsung’s Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) image processor and adopts the company’s proprietary de-interlacing technology.

Both the BD-P1400 and BD-P2400 offer native 1080p playback and support component, composite outputs and S-Video. The new BD-P1400 is expected to be available in September, with the price set at $550, while the BD-P2400 will be available in October for $650.
