The smoking jacket was designed by Fiona Carswell and this idea was not trying to change the people behavior, but to see if visceral, comic information displays could cause self-awareness and reflection. So, if you want to be a polite smoker, then you should own this smoking jacket.
The smoking jacket comes with a pair of lungs as an iconographic “warning system” on the front right and left of the jacket and has a big collar with a “container” inside it. The function of this collar is to avoid blowing the smoke in the face of the people around you. Just blow the smoke into the container, and it will be filtered through the lungs of the jacket and then channelled through some tubing. After repeated exposure this lungs should darken from cigarette smoke.
