PS3 Price Cut Confirmed: Sales Rank Up 2800% on Amazon

Yes, you read it right. It’s finally official. Sony has recently announced the long hoped price cut for the 60GB Sony PlayStation 3 to a price of $499 and officially announced the launch of the new 80GB PS3 model for the United States market at the price tag of $599.
In only one day after Sony announced the $100 price drop of the PS3, the market has recently begun responding positively. As reported by PS3FanBoy yesterday that sales at Amazon.com have increased by 2800% (today 2700%) for the 60GB PS3 model and become best selling item in video game category list.
