Samsung Intros a 1cm Thick 40-inch Full HD LCD TV

Giant Samsung has just unveiled its new LCD TV (1080p) which measures just 1cm thick. According to the company the 40-inch display has a bezel that’s just 1.5cm, down from the 3cm typical of today’s similarly sized LCD TVs. The panel, using an LED backlight that allows it to reach 92 % of the NTSC standard for color saturation.
Samsung will also show off the very flat panel model later this week during Flat Panel Display show in Japan, alongside a 14.1-inch OLED screen, plastic panels and sheets of electronic paper. Moreover, the manufacturer will also introduce the new 16- and 18.4-inch notebook LCD screens with aspect ratio of 16:9. One more picture after the jump….
