Today, Apple has finally launched its new 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook based on Santa Rosa, the newest PC platfrom by Intel. This MacBook Pro powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB of shared L2 cache memory support, a powerful nVidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics engine, 800 MHz frontside bus and 2GB of DDR2 main memory.
As for 15-inch MacBooks Pro, comes with LED backlight display, whereas the 17-inch ones offer an optional higher 1920 x 1200 screen resolution. It will run 50 percent faster than the original MacBook Pro that powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo, if you work on some professional applications, such as Logic® Pro 7 and Final Cut Pro 6.
