Dell Latitude D430 Ultra-Portable Notebook Coming Next Week

Dell Taiwan announced that the upcoming Latitude D430 ultra-portable notebook (upgraded version of the Latitude D420) will be available from July 2nd. Dell Latitude D430 is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 (1.2GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB) or Intel Core Solo U1400 (1.2GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB) processor.
Unfortunately, the Latitude D430 is not based-on the new Intel Santa Rosa platform, they feature older ‘Napa platform’ and doesn’t have a built-in optical drive. This new notebook has a 12.1-inch display, an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, and 1GB of RAM at 533MHz (up to 2GB total). Furthermore, Dell also offers a choice of a solid state drive (1.8-inch HD at 4200rpm) that can store up to 32GB.
The D430 supports Intel 4965 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, Ethernet, modem, and optional WWAN connecitivity. Other features, include an integrated microphone, FireWire, a PCMCIA Type II slot, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA headphone/speaker out, serial docking connector and an SD card slot. There’s no information idea on pricing.
