Dell XPS M1730 Gaming Laptop Goes on Sale

The XPS M1730 is the latest gaming laptop from Dell which is claimed to be the first notebook with an integrated physics processing chip. It incorporates an Ageia’s PhysX 100M and dual Nvidia GeForce 8700M GT graphics engines in SLI (512MB of video memory). Dell equips the laptop with a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo T7500 processor, but you can choose to upgrade to a four-core Core 2 Extreme X7900 CPU (2.8GHz), of course it will take an extra money out of your pocket (around $1355). The standard M1730 model packs a 2GB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM (in dual-channel configuration) as well as 7200rpm 200GB HDD.
As for the connections, it includes Bluetooth 2.0 as well as 802.11a/b/g wireless (3G HSDPA or EvDO cellular adaptors are also included as optional extras in certain territories). Available in white, black, red and blue colors, Dell’s XPS M1730 gaming laptop boasts a 17-inch display that capable of providing 1920×1200 screen resolution and a 2MPix webcam. Other specs for the M1730 notebook, include an optional Blu-ray drive (for an extra $785) and 64GB SSD ($927 more) as well as a remote control that docks into the system’s ExpressCard slot. The starting prices for the US market is $2999, while in the UK market this powerful notebook PC is priced at £1799.
