New Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC Models Officialy Announced

Samsung America has officialy announced three new UMPCs, line of Q1U ultra-mobile PC: the Q1U-ELXP, Q1U-XP and Q1U-SSDXP. Based on Intel Ultra Mobile Platform 2007, all of the Q1U models come with a 7-inch touch-screen display with 1024×600 resolution, a split-QWERTY keypad, 1GB of RAM, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, Ethernet LAN, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as Microsoft Windows XP Tablet Edition OS.
Among those three new models, the Q1U-ELXP is the most affordable one (priced at $999), it is equipped with an Intel Ultra Mobile A100 processor running at 800MHz and a 40GB hard drive. Meanwhile, The Q1U-XP features 800MHz A110 CPU as well as a 60GB standard HDD, it retails for $1149. As for the higher-end Q1U-SSDXP UMPC (priced at $1649), it features a Flash memory based SSD (which is the main innovation in the Q1U series) with 32GB capacity and an 800MHz Intel Ultra Mobile A110 CPU.
Weighing just 1.5 lbs, the Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPCs is claimed to offer up to 4.5 hours of battery life.
