Samsung SPH-P9200 UMPC Phone: Specs and Video

Samsung unveiled its new UMPC-like phone, known as the SPH-P9200 which comes with an iPod white color scheme. The ultra mobile PC runs on Windows XP operating system and features a 1GHz processor with an upgraded 512MB memory capacity. The hard drive is remain the same with the previous model — 30GB HDD, so do the 5in WVGA screen and split Qwerty keyboard.
The new P9200 UMPC supports for GSM/GPRS/Edge as well as 3G HSDPA networks. It also features WiBro and a built in 802.11g Wi-Fi connectivity. No word, if it will support bluetooth — just like the previous P9000 model — or no. Other features, include built-in 1.3 mega-pixels camera module, stylus and some USB ports. Weighing at just 0.65kg, it boasts a battery life of 2.5 hours with the standard battery, but it can be extended up to 5 hours when using a good quality battery. **A cheap lcd tv produces world class images with home theater seating as well. For hdtv however, you will have to plug in to home theater system as well as deal with HDTV Tuners. The dvd players will be played differently.

A perfect computer for most business users as it is pocket size, runs full windows, has a great large keyboard. Perfect design. The rest of the UMPC’s should get a clue we do not want a pen device input only nor do we want a device so bulky we can not carry it in a jacket pocket.
