Apple Boss, Steve Jobshas officialy announced the release date of iPhone in UK. O2 will carry the handset with the price is set at £269 when it lauches beginning November 9. However “Jobs did not mention if the recent rumours about Apple trousering 40% of O2’s voice and data revenues from the device were true”, according to Techdigest.tv. Carphone Warehouse is reportedly become a part of the deal in terms of selling iPhones in the UK market.
O2 is going to offer 3 tariffs for the iPhone, starting from £35, £45 and £55 on an 18-months contract which includes unlimited data over the operator’s EDGE network. Sadly, there will be no 3G support as expected by many of us.
