Take a look at Sony’s XEL-1 TV, it is so slim. Adopting the Organic EL display technology, this TV has a very thin screen at just 3mm thick. This is pretty cool I think. The A100F is the latest compact High-Definition (HD) Camera from Toshiba which comes equipped with a shock mounted 1.8″ HDD with 100GB storage capacity. Claimed to be the world’s smallest “Full HD” camcorder, it boasts a 2 mega-pixel 1/3-inch CMOS Sensor and can record video in 1920×1080 (support for Mpeg-4 AVC/H.264 video format). Unfortunately, there is no actual word on availability so far, but “the price will be around 1,600 Euro for the most expensive model”. Electronics giant Sanyo has just unveiled the Xacti DMX-HD700 HD digital movie camera. It comes with similar body design as the Waterproof CA65 Xacti version (or E1 for U.S market), but it only has 720p HD movie recording functionality, rather than 1080p. Sanyo bundles the HD700 with SD/SDHC memory card to store the photos taken with 7MP camera as well as videos. It is compatible with MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video format. Read the rest

Here comes a new product from Hitachi, known as the P60-XR01 - a Full HDTV range. Coming with a 60-inch wide screen, the new TV provides 1920×1080 screen resolution with 10000:1 contrast ratio and 1000 cd/m2 brightness. Panasonic has recently unveiled its small and light camcorder, called the HDC-SD7. The new full-HD video camera boasts 2.7-inch LCD screen and has the ability to record up to 90 mins of HD video on its 4 GB SDHC Card.

Back on January this year, Sony introduced its Vaio TP1 Living Room PC (see image) during CES, and recently - without official announcement, Sony has begun shipping its home theater PC.
According to Crave, this device won’t have the higher-end trappings of the typical HTPC, this means there’s no High-Def optical drive and no CableCard slot as well. Read the rest
