Remember about Takara Tomy’s Omnibot 17µ i-SOBOT I posted about 2 weeks ago? Measuring 16.5cm in height, it holds the ranks as the smallest humanoid robot in production and will be listed at 2008 Guinness book of world records. Now, it looks like we have the new titleholder for the world’s smallest humanoid robot. GeStream, a Taiwan-based manufacurer has just introduced its new robot that stands just 15cm tall and even cheaper than the i-Sobot (cost around $200). Video after the jump! Read the rest

Tomy Company, a Japan-based manufacturer will soon release its new humanoid robot, called The Omnibot 17µ i-SOBOT. Standing only 16.5cm tall, the robot is small enough and is predicted to enter the Guinness book of world records 2008, as “the smallest humanoid robot”. The i-SOBOT will be available in late October with an estimated retail price of $300. Read the rest
