Apple Boss, Steve Jobshas officialy announced the release date of iPhone in UK. O2 will carry the handset with the price is set at £269 when it lauches beginning November 9. Apple has announced the price cut of the 8GB iPhone which was previously retailed for $599 will now retail for only $399. What about the 4GB model? MacNN reported, “the 4GB iPhone, while no longer being manufactured is now available at a clearance price of $299 at online Apple store“. Yesterday Steve Jobs has introduced the highly anticipated touch-sensitive iPod after months of rumors has been circulating. Dubbed as iPod Touch, it has the same look with Apple iPhone from the outside with a large, 3.5-inch widescreen and a customary ‘home’ button at the bottom. It seems that AT&T has lost the exclusivity of Apple’s iPhone. Engadget recently reported that the folks over at iPhoneSIMfree.com ‘has called them up to prove that they cracked’ the iPhone SIM lock system. Walter S. Mossberg, The Wall Street Journal’s personal-technology columnist answers a number of common questions related to Apple’s iPhone at his column. He also suggests that a Flash plug-in for iPhone will be released soon by Apple.
“At launch, the iPhone version of the Safari browser is missing some plug-ins needed for playing common types of Web videos. The most important of these is the plug-in for Adobe’s Flash technology. Apple says it plans to add that plug-in through an early software update, which I am guessing will occur within the next couple of months”, Walt Mossberg says. Read the rest
