Take a look at Sony’s XEL-1 TV, it is so slim. Adopting the Organic EL display technology, this TV has a very thin screen at just 3mm thick. This is pretty cool I think. Sony has officially announced the release date of its ‘Walkman NW-A910 series’ for the Japan market. Supporting 1-Seg, the new walkman has various recording capability, including reserved recording as well as direct recording of TV programming. The NW-A910 series support up to 36-hours of continuous music playback or 6-hours when playing video and can play MP3, WMA and ATRAC music format as well as AVC(H.26)/MPEG-4 video format. The upgraded version of Sony Vaio G laptop will go on sale in Japan from October. The new laptop will come with a drip-proof keyboard which obviously discharges water via a special “water pit” at the base of the laptop and even shuts down the system when it got too much water spilled on it. Running on both Windows Vista and XP operating system, the Vaio G2 can be configured either with an Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 or a U7500 processors, Solid State Drive (with 32GB, 48GB or 64GB options) and several different Hard Drive Disk sizes. The upcoming Sony Vaio L series will be available in the Japanese market starting October 3rd. These wall mountable PCs come in three different models, the 15.4″ (with 1280x 800 screen resolution) as well as the 19″ and 22″ (with 1680×1050 resolution) wide screen. The 19″ and 22″ versions come equipped with the same wall mounting kits of the company’s Bravia LCD TVs. These series can be configured either with an Intel Celeron M530 processor or Core 2 Duo T7500 processor (2.2 Ghz) instead. Read the rest

Here comes the new generation of Sony Vaio UX series line of Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC): the UX 72, UX92S and UX92NS. Instead of a 40GB hard disk drive, Sony now offers a 64GB SSD drive options to its consumer. Moreover, the company equips their new UMPCs with the 64Bit Core 2 Solo processor, such as the U2100 (1.06Ghz) and U2200 (1.20Ghz). Sony Japan rolls out two new models of Walkman S Series, dubbed the NW-S610 and NW-S710. These new audio devices boast a 1.8-inch wide LCD that is capable of providing high quality video as well as pictures. Both players adopt the company’s Clear Audio technology and has a noise canceling function. The Walkmans support playback of most audio video files, including MP3, ATRAC, WMA, AAC, H.264 and MPEG4.
