The ultra mobile PC runs on Windows XP operating system and features a 1GHz processor with an upgraded 512MB memory capacity. Here comes the new generation of Sony Vaio UX series line of Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC): the UX 72, UX92S and UX92NS. Instead of a 40GB hard disk drive, Sony now offers a 64GB SSD drive options to its consumer. Moreover, the company equips their new UMPCs with the 64Bit Core 2 Solo processor, such as the U2100 (1.06Ghz) and U2200 (1.20Ghz). Samsung America has officialy announced three new UMPCs, line of Q1U ultra-mobile PC: the Q1U-ELXP, Q1U-XP and Q1U-SSDXP. Based on Intel Ultra Mobile Platform 2007, all of the Q1U models come with a 7-inch touch-screen display with 1024×600 resolution, a split-QWERTY keypad, 1GB of RAM, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, Ethernet LAN, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as Microsoft Windows XP Tablet Edition OS.
