SK Telecom Co. Ltd, a leading cellular provider company in South Korea has introduced a new device, a waterproof transmitter which can help fishermen tackle their battle with the fishes. This device can be linked to a fishing road and used to divine the fish-rich area in the water.
The density of fish in the water will be tracked via the transmitter, by sending out ultrasonic pulses which then report the information back to a receiver that connected to a cell phone. All information and data will be displayed by SK telecom’s software on the cell phone.
Infoworld reporting that the cost of the transmitter device is around $100 and $5 for the software (easy to download into a cell phone).
